I'm delighted with this lovely little book. I'm just starting to recreate my brother's 1960's marble collection from our childhood, but on a very modest scale. The number of marbles available on eBay is overwhelming. For me, this little book helps me refine my search and recognize how to spot a good marble listing. Plus, he reminds us how to play a game of marbles.The photos are excellent quality and the chapters are focused and descriptive. I don't intend to become a marble fanatic or to amass a huge collection, so this book is surely all that I will ever need. And it's nice enough to display on the same table where I'm displaying my fledgling marble collection! Thank you, Richard Maxwell, for writing this book!
