Purchased for my 8 year old as a Christmas present. He loves knives and axes and this one is incredibly cool. It is VERY small, just about 6 inches or so in total length, and the head is about 3 inches or so. It is real Damascus I can assure you, as I can feel the ridges in the steel and you can see how they run all the way through the head when viewed from above. It may not be the world's highest quality Damascus mind you, however, it is still very attractive. It is very sharp, don't think that due to it's small size that it isn't. This is really not meant to be used to cut wood, I suppose you could split small sticks and such but really it's just a novelty. You could use it for a wine and cheese tray or something like that as well. It is well made and looks good, you can dispaly it and it doesn't look like other imported crap. Great for a kid or anybody who is an axe fan.
